Reflex Rings: how to tap, streak, and avoid decoys

Reflex Rings is a fast arcade game that runs in any browser. A green ring appears in a random spot on the play field. Tap it before the round timer runs out. A new ring appears, but some of them are red decoys. Tapping a decoy resets your streak.

What is Reflex Rings

Reflex Rings is a single-tap reflex game. The play field shows one ring at a time. A green ring is a target, a red ring is a decoy. The goal is to tap the targets as fast as possible for the duration of the round. Each round is short on purpose — Reflex Rings is meant to be played between other tasks, not instead of them.

How a round works

  1. Pick a round length: 20, 30, or 60 seconds. The default is 20.
  2. Press Start. A green ring appears in a random spot on the play field.
  3. Tap the ring. The score goes up, the streak counter goes up by 1, and a new ring appears.
  4. If the new ring is green, tap it. If it is red, leave it alone — that is a decoy.
  5. Tap a red decoy by mistake and the streak resets to 0. A small score penalty applies.

The streak multiplier

Every clean hit adds 15 base points plus 2 points per streak step. A streak of 10 multiplies each hit by 35 points; a streak of 20 multiplies each hit by 55 points. A decoy hit resets the streak to 0 and removes 5 points from your score. The streak counter is shown on the side panel so you always know your current multiplier.

What happens to your scores

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers to the most common questions about Reflex Rings.

How long is a round?

You can pick 20, 30, or 60 seconds before you press Start. The default is 20 seconds.

What is a decoy?

A decoy is a red ring that looks almost identical to a target. Tapping it resets your streak to 0 and removes 5 points from your score. Skip decoys and wait for the next green ring.

How is my score calculated?

Each clean hit is worth 15 + 2 × streak points. A streak of 10 means every clean hit is worth 35 points. A decoy hit removes 5 points and resets the streak.

Is there a global leaderboard?

No. Your best score is stored in your browser only. We do not run a server-side leaderboard for the arcade games.
